Tantric Deities

Tantric Deities are taken largely from the Hindu pantheon, but are not limited to them. Although popularly Tantra is associated with Hindu traditions, there is evidence that various forms of Tantra existed in many ancient cultures. It may surprise some people to know that Mary Magdeline is considered by some to be the Tantric Consort of Jesus. Although this may be considered heretical according to some traditions, nevertheless it illustrates how far-reaching a Tantric perspective can be.

In modern times many people do not necessarily worship these deities, but rather regard them as archetypical models for forces that exist within the psyche.
